Parkinson’s disease doesn’t just affect the diagnosed—it touches the lives of everyone around them. Families, caregivers, and loved ones often feel lost, overwhelmed, and unsure of where to turn.
Without awareness, resources, and support, the journey can feel isolating. But it doesn’t have to be this way.
At Kingdor National Parkinson’s Foundation, we are committed to raising awareness, providing essential care, and guiding families through every challenge Parkinson’s brings.
Here’s how we help:
Educating the public to fight misinformation and reduce stigma.
Providing guidance, resources, and emotional relief programs.
Improving the quality of life through specialized care initiatives.
Kingdor National Parkinson’s Foundation was founded on April 20, 2000, in memory of Rev. Dr. King S. Darling, a Parkinsonian, and his wife and devoted caregiver, Mrs. Dorothy L. Darling.
From day one, our mission has been to serve as a beacon of hope for individuals with Parkinson’s and their loved ones. Affiliated with the Parkinson’s Foundation, we continue to drive change, support families, and advance research to improve lives.

It’s been said that when someone you love has Parkinson’s, you have Parkinson’s. The truth is, Parkinson’s doesn’t just affect one person—it affects entire families, friends, and caregivers.
When we started Kingdor National Parkinson’s Foundation, our mission was simple: No one should feel alone in this fight. We saw firsthand the challenges, the emotional toll, and the unanswered questions that come with a Parkinson’s diagnosis. We knew we had to do something.
Through research, advocacy, and hands-on support, we are committed to making life better for those battling Parkinson’s. We strive to be a source of hope, guidance, and real solutions—and we invite you to join us.
Together, we can ease the burden, bring awareness, and work toward a brighter future for those living with Parkinson’s.
Our mission is to improve the quality of care for people with Parkinson’s Disease through research, education, and outreach. We work to raise awareness about Parkinson’s, provide essential support to those affected, and advocate for better resources and care. As a non-profit organization, we are committed to easing the burden on individuals with Parkinson’s, their families, and caregivers.
Kingdor National Parkinson’s Foundation provides hands-on support through awareness campaigns, educational programs, and direct assistance. We organize monthly support meetings, offer comfort items to patients, and conduct outreach initiatives to ensure individuals with Parkinson’s and their caregivers have access to the information and resources they need. The foundation also plays a vital role in advocating for better care and services in The Bahamas.
